Subject:          Turkish American Cultural Society of New England condemns the murder of journalist/author Hrant Dink

 

 

 

 

As the Turkish American Cultural Society of New England, we strongly condemn the deplorable attack causing death of the Turkish Armenian Journalist Hrant Dink, Editor of the  Agos Newspaper in Istanbul, on Friday, January 19.

 

We believe that this is an unacceptable attack against fundamental human rights and freedom of speech as well as peace, democracy and stability in Turkey. We urge the authorities to bring  perpetrator(s) of  the attack to justice as soon as possible.

 

We extend our deepest sympathies and condolences to the victim's family.
